Rivers Tour – the Indus: Stans Cafe comes to The Warehouse, 30th Oct 2.30pm & 7.30pm

Delighted to be welcoming Stans Cafe back to The Warehouse next Monday (30th Oct) with two performances of their latest Rivers Tour production: The Indus:
Spend an absorbing forty-five minutes travelling the length of the amazing River Indus. Your guide Karan Maini will share with you extraordinary stories of the river’s history and politics, water and wildlife, legends and everything reality.
The script for your journey is written by the acclaimed Birmingham poet Nafeesa Hamid in collaboration with Stan’s Cafe.
The performance is illustrated by a spectacular fifteen metre long textile ribbon map designed and sewn by local textile artist Abeda Begum, working alongside members of The Springfield Project Community.
“Wonderful, an inspirational performance full of charm and humour, brilliant mind expanding writing and stunning needlework.”
I’ve not yet been to a Stans Cafe production that hasn’t been thoroughly absorbing, funny and thought provoking, so looking forward to this! The events will be in our Warehouse Cafe space, starting at 2.30 and 7.30pm. Teas, coffees and (in the evening) beer and wine will be available. The production will be running in different Birmingham venues from 28th Oct to 2nd November. Tickets available here.
