Birmingham Friends of the Earth’s AGM is coming up on Monday 10th July, from 6.30pm (for a 7pm start). More information is below.
All our supporters and members are welcome to the AGM. To vote in the proceedings, you need to be a formal member of the organisation (we are a Community Benefit Society), through having a £1 share or having invested in our share offer in 2017-18. If you are not a formal member but wish to become one, you are welcome – please contact us to arrange this.
We have vacancies for election to join our board and welcome new applicants from our membership. Here is an outline of the skills and attributes needed for this role. If you consider you have these skills (or if you’re not sure and would like to discuss it) please contact us in the first instance; after an initial chat we will need a short (paragraph or two) ‘election address’ statement outlining why you’re interested in the role and what you can bring to it. We would need this statement by Monday 3rd July 9am. Having said this, we can also co-opt members to any vacancies during the year.
Please feel free to bring a contribution to the Bring and Share buffet (vegetarian).
It is possible to join the AGM online via Zoom. Please contact us if you’d like to do this.
We look forward to seeing you!
Best regards
Karen
