Birmingham Environmental Education Project is all about local people and organisations working together to make Birmingham a greener city, and helping to minimise environmental impacts on a global scale.
We are now more aware, than ever before, of the long term damage we are causing to the environment around us from our unsustainable use of the Earth’s resources in our daily lives. Birmingham Environment is there to make local information more widely accessible and available, as well as promoting the work being done by many groups from across the city to make a real difference.
Whatever your environmental interest, we will cover it – from recycling and transport to local biodiversity – and our events diary will be regularly updated with a range of activities taking place in every district at which you can learn more about the issues, meet new friends and have fun whilst doing your bit for our city. Schools, businesses and individuals alike will see how small changes can make a great difference for us all.
If you’re involved with any projects locally and would like to be featured on the website, or if you have any other local concerns then why not get in touch? We would love to hear from you.
Visiting Birmingham? Call in and see us at our eco centre, right in the heart of the city and just a short walk from the main shopping area. The building has undergone major renovation work to make it much more energy efficient!
